Where’s The Line To See Jesus

I know my blog is about writing  most of the time but since it is close to Christmas, I have the urge to talk about Jesus, since Christmas is his celebrated birthday.  I have a hard time accepting Christmas not being celebrated for what it was meant to be.  Now it is for many people, “What can I get, or how to make more money.  Our Christmas has become so commercial it has left out the central element, Jesus.

How do you view Christmas?  Is it what you think it should be?  I know everyone is not Christian in their faith, but even so-called Christians have lost sight of what the Holiday is about.  Watch this video, I think it sums it up very nicely.

About shirleymclain930

I'm a retired RN enjoying my retirement to the fullest. I liked adventure and travel and making friends. I have 6 dogs and 1 cat. They are like having a house full of three years olds. Now for the rest of the story. My Granddaughter and her husband now live with us and they have 4 dogs and 4 cats along with a giant Flemish Rabbit. My Granddaughter has now added beautiful, Olivia to our household. My fourth Great Grandchild. They are a large part of my life and I can't imagine them not being around. I spend most of my time sitting in front of my computer working on my latest book or talking about Essential Oils. On the personal side, I'm married to a wonderful man who spoils me and I love it. I am very much a country girl. I love living on our 5 acres on Pole Cat Creek watching the deer and other animals occasionally stick their heads out of the trees. It's a fun life.
  • I agree and just posted something similar. I think Christmas is way too commercialized and even find myself pulling in that direction when I think of all that I have to buy … I have to bring myself back into what I think Christmas should be .. glad to know I’m not the only one with this question …

    Dear Shirley
Thanks a million that you visited my site, and liked it, i feel extremely privileged. And you site is simply aw inspiring, it is so well organized with beautiful articles. And yes i agree, that now a days people do not celebrate Christmas with that warm fervor which once was a focal point. Christmas without paying our utmost homage, to Jesus Christ ( pbuh ) is no Christmas at all, it becomes just a festival like so many others, but only if people knew the worth of Christmas.
    Kind Regards
